"Close Folder" hangs entire UI after 1.95 merge

Interpreter details:

I have experienced this with both R and Python running in the console.

Describe the issue:

If I try to close my current workspace to get to the "no workspace" state, the whole UI gets stuck in a blank switching state.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Choose "Close Folder" from the top right project switcher

2. Be very sad at Positron's dead UI state

Expected or desired behavior:

I should be able to use "Close Folder".

Were there any error messages in the UI, Output panel, or Developer Tools console?

I was not able to see how to get any logs in this state.
