System Information

  • Hamster: 3.0.3-1
  • Gnome: 1:46.0-1
  • libinput: 1.25.0-1
  • in general: latest updated state of Archlinux

Reproduce

  1. Open Hamster
  2. Create more entries than the window can hold, causing a scroll bar to appear on the right
  3. Try to use the two finger gesture to scroll
  4. No scrolling is observed

Expected behaviour

In step four, the screen should scroll just like the same gesture is doing in Firefox or Evince.

Keep in mind the new version of Gnome is not the issue since this issue manifested at least since Gnome version 1:45 for me.

I've also observed this symptom, for me this was caused by Wayland handling touchpad scrolling as touch events instead of mouse events IIRC. There is a fix available at #702, but it is not merged yet because it has side effects that I have not taken the time to investigate yet...

I was worried at first there might be something wrong with my setup. It's not a big deal. Thanks for the great work and your response.
