This software looks like it has some really good functionality! Problem, though: I don't use Windows.

Describe the solution or functionality you'd like
A build or port of this program that runs at least on X11 desktop environments typically available for Linux. (wayland makes IMEs a lot harder than they need to be atm, don't worry about doing that)

honestly, if there's another project that does what this does, but works on linux, we could close the issue outright

Have a look at jtroo/kanata#984
It does not yet have the same features as ZipChord, but there are a few people (including me) interested in enhancing it.
Also @psoukie is considering re-writing ZipChord in Zig.

I was just about to write the same recommendation and comment. Thanks! Definitely recommend checking out that project.

I don't have a specific timeline for the Zig version, and ZipChord cannot be easily ported due to the original tooling choice.
