Shorthands not expanding

Describe the bug

• A short description of the bug.
• What happens, and what do you expect to happen instead?
• I have made a file "shortcuts.txt", ensured that it is in the right folder and selected "Use shorthands". But when I type any of the shortcuts followed by a space it does not expand.
  Useful Details
• Which settings do you have selected in the ZipChord settings?
• AFAICS all relevant settings are correct.
• If the output is wrong, what is the sequence of keys pressed, the dictionary entry, and what text appears on the screen?
• For example, with the line "dm(tab)demo" in the dictionary, "dm" appears if I type it. The expansion works in this box, however, but not in Chrome nor in Edit Pad Pro. Meanwhile, chords work OK.

Can I ask for clarification? The first part sounds like none of the shorthands work, but in the second part, it seems sometimes they do? (Such as D M Space expands to demo but only in some programs? Could you please share more details on this? Also, make sure that the file you created is opened to be used for Shorthands by clicking the "Open" button in the Shorthand dictionary.

I'm having a similar issue: the shorthands are not expanding at all? On default settings with the default dictionaries. It worked initially and just stopped working after something. Reinstalling the app fixed the issue.
