Posting this on behalf of ORNL's Chad Parish who is interested in a capability that supports easy stitching of overlapping images (more complex than just images in reality) into one large dataset. How can the indices and values be engineered that makes it easy for someone to stitch such numerous images into one image? What if these weren't images, but rather clouds of data points (> 98% sparse datasets)?
