Providing a global .bib file for if not specified in the yaml (vscode/positron)

I would like to suggest a feature related to bib files. The autocomplete feature triggered with @ is amazing but, as done by linking the zotero account in vscode/positron, could be nice to have the possibility to provide a global bib file as database for non-zotero users if not specified in the YAML. For example this extension https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=notZaki.pandocciter is implementing this for .md files.
