How can I update retention policy on existing index?

According to docs, I couldn't update index setting on existing index except search_settings and retention. But I only see create an index using POST method (https://quickwit.io/docs/reference/rest-api#create-an-index). I tried using PATCH to update retention but it didn't work as expected. I really confuse to update retention configuration on existing index. I saw this PR (#4832) and tried it but quickwit didn't support to make update operation from cli in 8.2. How can i update retention policy in simplest way?
