Metrics for stacked resource utilization

Currently, we are defining both the metrics and the events we use to plot resource utilization. While ultimately we want to retain this capability, we should define default metrics and transition for this plot. These default metrics should be those most commonly used in our publications. Currently, we use:

Default metrics should be codified somewhere where they can be loaded with a single call by a user.
