How to focus an input after a ContextMenu Item is clicked?

I'm trying to create a Todo list app, where a user can right click a Todo item and then toggle an Editing mode, so that they can edit the text.

To do this, I've created a ContextMenu with a ContextMenu.Item that onClick, toggles editing mode, which then shows an input field for the user to edit the text.

For some reason though, I'm running into an issue, where the input field shows, but the input field isn't automatically focused once it appears.

I've tried setting autoFocus on the input field, which should focus it once it appears, but that doesn't work. I've also tried using a ref to manually focus the input field, but that doesn't work either. I also tried using onCloseAutoFocus={(e) => e.preventDefault()} on the ContextMenu.Content, but that doesn't work either.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to solve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
