content freezes/won't load

whenever I enter any game (I've tried with a few) it freezes at the very beginning of the loading screen or it won't start at all. this has only started happening today and it has worked fine before. it's not an issue with just one game or with my computer (i've tried restarting it) and i have no idea how to fix this issue. has this happened to anyone else? how do i fix this?
