Cursor should automatically be in WYSIWYG popup

I copy some text then click on an empty column that I want to paste that content into. The new editor pops up but the cursor is not inside it automatically. Instead the entire columns are selected so if I paste I end up replacing the columns under the new popup. On top of that, since the columns are now gone and the popup still there, I can insert content into it but hitting the insert button does nothing since there's nowhere for it to go.

Shouldn't be able to edit content in the default WYSIWYG when editing content.
