Requisites

Instead of using file tags to display the country in the map, values fetched directly by the Biography panel may be used. There are 3 requisites to make it work:

  • Map panel mode must be set to 'Standard mode (selection & playback)' to follow the current artist or playback.
  • WilB's Biography script must be added to your foobar UI somewhere in a panel (it may be hidden though).
  • Biography script version must supported (see below) and feature enabled.

World Map panel can be set to automatically save the locale tags to the files or a database for internal use. That means that country display for all artists on your library will work offline -and even without the Biography panel installed) once all tags have been cached. A default database is provided for that use-case.

1.1.X (multiple versions)

1.1.X version require file editing done via script. There is a menu option to install the mod (it looks for the original file, edits the relevant lines and creates a backup). Is done step by step and can be reverted back (see below).

1.2.0+ (future versions too)

1.2.0+ version works automatically without requiring any actions. Procedure is the same for both cases, just use the menu to check current installation and follow the steps shown on popups.
