Thanks for giving yabridge a shot!

  • I read through both the troubleshooting and the known issues sections, and my issue wasn't listed there

Problem description

With EZ Drummer 3:

  • drag and drop from the plugin to the host works alright; for example: to move a midi clip to the main sequencer
  • BUT: drag and drop from a file manager (Thunar) to the plugin does not work

This prevents from assigning a custom user sample to a piece of kit.

What did you expect to happen?

  • In the 'Drums' tab, select a kit element
  • expand the dialog on the left of the screen
  • drag and drop a sample from Thunar to assign it to the element

What actually happened?

Nothing happens when we drag and drop a sample from Thunar to the plugin window (or rather: the file icon moves back to Thunar)

Maybe it's not a bug in Yabridge. There's a related discussion in REAPER's forum. https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=292802
