Appendices names in TOC

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to nicely manage appendices (with or without appendix package).

In particular, I noticed the Abbreviation for the appendix "chapter" in toc remains the same as the chapters in the body, that is "Ch.".

Shouldn't it be something like "App." ?

I was also trying to fix this by changind the "\newcommand\tocchapterabbreviationname{Ch.}" part. But it seems a bit more troublesome then this.

I'll be checking the ticket but I didn't see any PR completion so I assume it's not done?

I have been slammed this year and have not had a chance to verify the PRs.

@MathieuDR check out #316, that solution has been working for me. I am not at all sure it is the best and 100% correct solution, so it probably shouldn't be merged without some more verification, but you can take a look at it in the meantime.

Just for the records, I applied two corrections:

• This one to switch from chapter to appendix name in the TOC
• and this one to get the Appendix name in the footer.
  Both of them worked. So I'll probably fork the project (with I find gorgeous being an old LaTeX freak) and keep the modded version for my personal needs.
