blender 3.5 MacOs with Metal : Impossible instalation #363
Comments
I just install the latest version of Blender 3.5, the problem came when I open the program and I can see that all the adds-on that I installed in the previuos version, had disapear. Then I try to reinstall Archipack, but an error apears and I cannot install it. Any informatios about it? Thanks |
In blender's preferences -> system, choose "OpenGl" instead of "Metal" as backend. |
Great!!!! Solved. Thanks a lot |
I've got a M1 Pro Macbook and want to use Metal instead of OpenGL. When will Archipack have Metal support? |
Will fix pro veresion as soon as possible, community edition will wait a bit more. |
@s-leger Do you have any update on when Metal might be supported? Just purchased the addon today, and was certainly hoping to use it with my m1max macbook pro. |
Full support for metal backend is on the way, beside other bugfixes. |
Thank you for the update @s-leger ! Love Archipak so far. |
Is there a ballpark timeframe as to when Archipack will have full support for Metal? I ask because with Blender 4.0.0, OpenGL is no longer available as a backend selection for Macs. |
Upcoming release will include full support for metal and breaking changes in blender's api. It will be released as soon as new CAD Transform release is available, as it does also provide support for CT 2.0 integration. |
Archipack version:2.6
Blender version:3.5
Os version: MacOs 13.2
Description of the issue:
