Nano instances are cheaper than Micro instances and sounds as a good deal for vpn that won't be frequently used.

The VPN works when first lanuched but then after an hour or so I wasn't able to connect.

I'm trying to find out why.

Possibly there is an issue with the t2.nano instances being in a VPC that is automatically created, but I'm not sure.

I was not aware of nano instances and have not tried them yet. Would be great if you can figure out what the problem is!

Hm, I can't see VPCs being an issue specific to just nano instances but given the fact that they have just .5 GB of memory could it be that this is filling up?

I agree though that nano instances do seem like a nice solution for infrequent VPN use

Having similiar issues with openvpn. I can't even run 'top' command if openvpn running - locks up nano instance.
