Search finding album but showing <error> for other metadata #47
Comments
I'm experiencing the same issue, the script is basically unusable at the moment. I don't know if it is because of the script or some change made to the Audible website. |
Been having this issue for a few weeks. The script(s) fails to pull the correct information from Audible (US). More often then not it shows Album (error) other times it shows the (error) on other fields, like the Composer field in the example below. Sometimes it fails to return results all together. Edit to add: From another issue posted there is another Audible script tagger developed by an MP3Tag developer. That one seems to work properly (as of now). |
Nice, the other script tagger you linked works great. No issues with it after some initial test runs so I'll probably switch over to that until this one gets sorted. Appreciate the help |
and update on this? I tried the Audible API one link above but I am getting an error code from that. |
Audible API is working fine for me right now in a quick test on several audiobook files. No errors. Make sure, if using windows, to drop the extracted Audible API files into the |
My bad, didn't move ALL of the files ha. Just the ones I thought I needed. It is not working as intended as well! |
When I go in and search, whether I use album, title, etc., the search often finds the book, but it will just display the metadata for the album, artist, asin, and cover, but the composer field shows as (error) and no other metadata populates. If I run it multiple times in a row it'll sometimes pop up with all the metadata at some point. Sometimes it works first try, others on the second or third, and sometimes it won't work for an hour but it will show up the next day just fine. There doesn't seem to be any consistency with the naming conventions used or anything else that I can see. And all files are .m4b. The first picture below is an example of the error. After running it nine times, on the tenth all the metadata populated as normal (picture 2).
