The discussion module is clunky. Perhaps we should reimagine it from the ground up.

Requests from colleagues: possibility for anonymous posts/replies (related: #125); instructor/TA endorsement of replies (to highlight quality contributions).

Request from me: cleaner interface, removing statuses and pinned topics; better notification options (subscribe to all/thread/new topics/etc).

Should discussion be fully threaded or just topic & reply. (I vote just topic and reply).
