Hidden update post button during post reply phase

One of my pet peeves in Coursys is that if I forget to switch to Markdown during a Reply on the discussion board, then the Update button is always invisible on a phone or other device with limited screen size as it it is right justified under the text input area. Can we please have it be left justified just like the Reply button?

This way it is easy to hit the Update button on a mobile device.

More difficult but also would help if we can set our default format to Markdown globally.
