Thanks for CourSys - it is a great help. Here are some suggestions for some changes which make the system even better, but I don't know how feasible they are.
Academic Dishonesty
Add a line to the standard letters with a suggested date by which the student is supposed to contact you. For example, I always added a line such as
"Please respond by Monday, 13 April 2015 at 12:00 (noon). If you fail to respond by then, I will assume that you do not wish to respond and will act accordingly."
where the date was 1 week from the date of the initial contact email. This way a case won't drag out for ever.
Entering Grades
Under "Grade each student", the grade to enter is on the far right of the screen, while the name and student number are on the far left. It would be friendlier if the grade to enter was closer to the name/student number to reduce chances of entering the grade against the wrong student. For example, if you put it between the name and student numbers, then it would be close to both regardless if the list is first sorted by name or student number for entering the mark.
