Not saving

Notes no longer save from the extension. If I add something to a note, close the popup, then reopen it, whatever I added is gone. I have to edit the notes from https://app.simplenote.com/ and that's really annoying me.

I had the webstore version until I was stupid enough to uninstall it. Since I can't install it from there, I followed the instructions from #15 (downloaded gsingh93's version) and followed the instructions from https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/getstarted#unpacked ....extension got installed but as I said above, the notes are NOT SAVING.

I cant save from the extension as of 2015.01.22
This was working for the longest time, but simplenote/appspot must've changed their methods again.

Jessica, I've noticed the same problem. One workaround I've found is to close the note by going back to the main list before closing the extension window or clicking in another web page/tab. This seems to signal to save the note. If I just click outside the extension and thus close it without leaving the note, I loose my work, too.

I've asked to be part of this project and will look into this error, but I'm not a high end programmer, so no promises, yet. But I'll see what I can do.

By the way, please keep in mind that everyone working on this project is volunteering their time, simply because we think this tool is worth it. I don't think any of us check on this regularly.

My version fixes the issue and there is a new version uploaded to the chrome store under my account: https://github.com/gsingh93/simplenote

The link on that page will take an hour or two from posting this to work. Also, I'm not 100% sure my fix for the saving issue was correct, so if someone who knows JavaScript can verify this commit makes sense, that would be appreciated.
