UTF-8 characters are removed from hashtags

When hashtags are generated from labels, utf-8 characters are removed that make new unknown hashtags.
But Mastodon accepts utf-8 in hashtags.

Example:
If a label is biodiversité in French language, the hashtag generated will be #biodiversit
École or école will be #cole that is incomprehensible.
Actualités will become #Actualits.

Expected:
biodiversité should be #biodiversité
École or école should be #école
Actualités shoud get #actualités.

Yepp. Same in german- In original languange the hashtag should be #Fähre. But #Fhre is the result ☹️

Same in spanish and catalan. The original hashtag is #CaféConSal, but Mastodon show #CafConSal.
