I wrote this a few years ago: https://simonwillison.net/2018/Oct/4/datasette-ideas/

It could do with an update, but it would also work better as evergreen content - kind of like how the SQLite documentation includes https://www.sqlite.org/appfileformat.html and https://www.sqlite.org/np1queryprob.html

This could go in the official docs, or it could go on https://datasette.io/

I'm inclined to put it on datasette.io since it's more about marketing than it is about showing people how to use the tool - though it could be a good fit in either place.

Having it outside the docs does mean I can update it without shipping a new stable release.

Moving this to the datasette.io repo. I'm going to put these docs there.
