Move to contrib #15
Comments
Will do @bryannaegele, had this on my list 👍🏼 |
Hi, thanks for this library. I wonder if it will be moved to the contrib repo (mentioned above) at some point? (I would be keen to help with this, if there is interest.) |
@gagandeepb this has continually been deprioritized for me. If you are interesting in bringing this to contrib, I think it would be greatly appreciated |
Simplebet will most likely be doing an internal fork/rework of this to better suit our specific use case and patterns that are conducive to our move to Honeycomb. I do not foresee us contributing those to the library as it is because it would violate a number of specification requirements. We could move it to the contrib repo but every contributor to date would have to be verified to have signed the CNCF CLA. That would require someone to take up that "paperwork" and assume ownership of the project. I do not believe Simplebet will continue to maintain the current version in any way and personally do not have bandwidth to maintain it in contrib. If that's something you're interested in and could commit to, we're happy to consider anyone as a maintainer. |
Hey folks, could you help us here? Would be much to ask to sign CNCF CLA if you haven't already? |
Happy to. |
@yordis you can create the PR and in the commit add |
Done |
@davydog187 thanks for taking maintainer on this. When you get this into a place you like or even before then, consider opening a PR to move it to the contrib repo. We'll need contributors up to now to sign the CLA but it's otherwise straightforward.
