Extracting constraint positions

Hi there!
I saw this discussion and I've managed to get the total force of contact, but I didn't find a way to extract where the forces are applied. I'm interested in knowing the region of self-contact.

• Is there a way to know these (indices or region or force/region) using the SofaPython3 plugin ?

Hey @ateixeira0163 !

Very good question (and sorry for keeping you waiting!).
You can actually find this information in the data field _constraint" of the MechanicalObject corresponding to the body of interest.
As explained on this old thread, the constraint data field contains:

constraint\_nb     nb\_of\_points\_concerned     point\_ID      H\_x H\_y H\_z  ...

so you extract the force location!
