Linux Kernel Patch and Minor Updates

Hi SONiC Community,

I wanted to be a better understand of the strategy and approach for updating the Linux kernel within a branch/release.

For example, in release 202305 the tip of the branch is set to version 5.10.179 (last updated in Oct 2023) where version 5.10.230 is available. There are several CVEs fixed between the two minor versions.

Is there a particular cadence for updating the Linux kernel version for new minor versions and patches? If not, should there be for a set of supported releases?
