My name is Tyler Pfledderer. I am an American currently residing in North Carolina, USA. I am using this opportunity to hoping gain sponsorship from you to become more involved in open-source contributions and further my goal of transitioning careers into web development!

I am a classically-trained musician with over a decade of experience, and have been using my various skills in adaptability, critical-thinking, and problem-solving for the last three years to build a foundation in front-end web development and beyond to find a career and grow in this field.

I am an active collaborator with @chakra-ui and a power contributor for the official @ethereum website. I began as a contributor with Chakra, and was given a home as external collaborator to help in building an improving a UI component library that values accessibility as a low-level design system. This allowed me opportunity to become involved with Ethereum.org as they were migrating to this library. I have continued with Ethereum to help lead in bringing online a new Design System, further improve the usage of Chakra, audit TypeScript, and audit any A11y improvements. The Ethereum team are also preparing to shift JS frameworks from GatsbyJS to NextJS, and I'm hoping to contribute to that transition.

As you can probably tell, I am deep in involvement with these projects. I also have a full-time job in an unrelated career. My goal is to leave this current job and look for a job in web development. This would also allow me more time (and frankly bandwidth! 😅 ) to keep going with these open source projects so I can continue to learn and grow as I search for the next big opportunity.

Maybe you can help with that? Further involvement in Chakra means a bigger hand in the group to help branch out the project as it tries to grow and be viable in VueJS and improve overall performance. Further involvement in Ethereum.org means another hand in the group to take some of the load off of core members who also work on other related projects in the Web3 and Ethereum Foundation space. (Trust me, if there was a job opening there, they would let me know in a heartbeat!)
