I'm a developer that has been working on open-source projects since 2016.

Back then I knew almost nothing about programming, especially the main languages I use today: C++ and C.

My journey began when I switched to Mumble for a VoIP application.
One of the features that intrigued me the most is positional audio: users can hear each other according to their character's position in-game!

In that period I used to play Left 4 Dead 2 and Rocket League with my friends.
Unfortunately the plugin for the first game was outdated and there was no support for the latter.

With no experience in C++ at all, I tried to figure out how the plugin actually worked.
The guide in the project's Wiki definitely helped.

After a few days, also thanks to mkrautz, I managed to compile the plugin and then even update it!
Shortly after I created a pull request: https://github.com/mumble-voip/mumble/pull/2196
It also added the plugin for Rocket League, which was updated and greatly improved in subsequent pull requests.

After only a few months, I joined the development team.
I initially only worked on positional audio plugins, but as I made my way into the codebase I started working on other components as well.

In 2017, while looking to build my own VPN server, I found SoftEther VPN.
I quickly realized that several things could be improved, which made me very happy because it meant I acquired a noticeable amount of experience in a single year.

After sending several pull requests, I joined the development team in July 2018.
Since then, I have been actively working on both Mumble and SoftEther VPN. As a result, I have exponentially increased my experience in C, C++, and programming in general.

By sponsoring me, the chances of working on open source projects full time will increase. This will help bring my dream closer to a reality.
