CSLA .NET is an MIT licensed open source project that strives to elevate business logic to the same level as data access and UI logic in a .NET application. It provides a home for business logic.
CSLA has been an ongoing project since 1996, with its first release in 1997. The first .NET implementation came out concurrent with the release of Microsoft .NET 1.0. We have source control history back to 2003.
Since 1997, CSLA has had more than 80 contributors, and continues to have a vibrant community and contributor base. With the shift to container-based cloud technologies on the server, and WebAssembly UI frameworks (Blazor and Uno) on the client, CSLA is enjoying a renaissance, because its unique features are a perfect fit for this new computing environment.
About Me
My name is Rockford Lhotka and I'm the creator and product manager for CSLA .NET.
I built my career using freeware and shareware - which later became known as open source. I hope that CSLA has helped others build their careers in a similar manner, and will continue to do so long into the future.
