I do think an ARAPORT link to the corresponding AT # would probably be a good idea (in addition to the TAIR link). TAIR seems to be on its way toward being a closed database (although that is still where SALK line info is housed). Some folks might be interested in the gene information, and the ARAPORT database houses more information about the gene and seems that it will be an open database for the foreseeable future.
