Custom Conference Platform on SvelteKit

This year we needed to host the conference my work puts together online due to COVID. The options out there are sparse, while the best ones for our use case (Hopin, etc) had large costs associated for our scale. As a non-profit, we decided to approach things differently and built a custom platform that had the features we needed.

As a solo developer for this project, I was really impressed with the workflow Kit enables. Refreshing, honestly. I'm so grateful to the Svelte community for the assistance getting to know the framework.

Using a Jamstack approach, we were able to host thousands of people over the week-long conference.
