Hi there,
I've just installed Strut on Ubuntu, and it's working perfectly. However, I've noticed that the installed version lacks several features that are present on the official website, such as background, surface, and impress (as shown in the provided screenshot).
On the official website, all features are available (as shown in the provided screenshot).

Strut 2 is still under development and open for contributions, which is in your first screenshot. The official website strut.io deploys the older version, which you probably can install locally by checking out the old-master branch (but you might need to downgrade the npm/node versions for it to work).
Quoting the readme:
The original project is ancient (2011/2013) and dated. It is now coming back with a facelift, collaborative editing and offline support, powered by vlcn.io
