The Laurel is a platform for proving volunteer effort and rewarding it with laurels, which cannot be transferred or exchanged for other tokens/currencies outside the Laurel.
The Laurel itself is being bootstrapped with its own technology, while it is being developed. The moral space of volunteering is vast and The Laurel aims to make at least part of it computable. For this, decentralized tech, like blockchain and peer-to-peer storage and communications, are used.
