@degrown can you share mentioned installer somewhere? I tried it with the latest version and it's working on my side. |

I see. This is a default security settings on Mac: “ThinkingRock Installer” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. You have to allow it in System Settings/Privacy and Security. Here you have region "ThinkingRock Installer" was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer. By clicking on "Open Anyway", confirming, again confirming etc. the installer will run. It's possible to disable this kind of protection but I wouldn't recommended it. I think that just the "Verified Apple Developer" can somehow sign the application that there won't be this blocking mechanism. Something like this: https://developer.apple.com/support/app-account/ Please, close this issue if you consider it as a solved, thank you. |
I understand the problem, and I've done a similar thing on my previous os.
but I don't see anything after clicking

Well, it was blocked on my machine in that way. After unblocking it worked well. Now, let's try following. When you open Console, choose your device on left, click Start on the toolbar and then try run installer - are there any "Errors and Faults" messages for trgtd or ThinkingRock? You can use search if there are many messages. Btw, I assume, that you're running installer by clicking in the Finder. |
Hi Radek, sorry for being late
No I haven't any messages on the Console no...I've searched here immediately, before opening the issue

Hi both I finally got around to verify installation on the only mac around in this house - unfortunatly an older model, where @degrown might not have had problems either: model: MacBook Pro Early 2015 Here, after having installed java 17 (using sdkman), the installation worked flawlessly, after passing the non-verified developer warning. I used the steps described here. So not much more help for the issues faced in this topic, I'm afraid. |
I've changed my laptop, now I have:
As JDK, I've installed the same as before: "OpenJDK Runtime Environment Temurin-17.0.6+10 (build 17.0.6+10)"
However my current situation is:
