The document AlgoVPN and Firewalls describes where Algo stores the firewall rules it generates. But if your existing server already has firewall rules you'll make a mess by installing Algo on top of it. Algo wants to be installed on an unmodified instance of Ubuntu Server. If you get Algo installed properly and want to try adding a service to the server, use the rules Algo generates for SSH as a template for opening additional ports. |

I want to install algo in an existing server with nginx being exposed to the internet (without the need to connect to the vpn) nginx would be serving a webapp and/or other things either via port 80 (default web) or some other port (I will avoid algo ports)
But I need to have some hints or some notes from experienced users who have done that before? I don't think I can do it successfully because I don't know where exactly should I look/configure like do I change some ufw setting or the iptables I have a little to no experience in the firewall and connection stuff, any help would be appreciated
