What is Telemetry?
Telemetry is an automated communications process by which measurements and other data are collected at remote or inaccessible points and transmitted to receiving equipment for monitoring
Have you ever installed an app on your computer and it asked you if you were ok with them sending usage statistics and data to help them improve their product? That is telemetry.
That is a privacy concern when you are not presented with opt-in and a way to opt-out. A lot of plugins and themes send this kind of data back to their services without your knowledge or consent. That’s why we added a Telemetry scanner to the plugin.
Using the Telemetry scanner you can see the destination your data is going, who is sending the data (WordPress, Plugin or Theme), filename, line, and response code. You can also see what data is being transmitted.
Use this tool to decide whether you want to keep this plugin/theme.
You can see this information over GDPR -> Telemetry
