I added an old indoor cell repeater antenna and it seemed to do much better than the dinky thing that comes with it. I think I'm just going to get a good self powered antenna if I can find one that will boost my Zigbee for more connections, eventually reaching all the areas I need on my 2 acres. If anyone knows of anything like that, I would greatly appreciate it |

You is trying building one star network like your WiFi is working and not one mesh network that can rerouting if having local RF problems. |

connect mains powered routing devices first. (Sengled bulbs are not routers). start with the routing devices closest to coordinator and move out ward from there. doesn't really matter how you add the routing devices, as they will pick their routes and connect to each other and coordinator if possible. when you start adding end devices, pick the router closest and add through that. They may not stick if they are zigbee 3.0 and find a better path that may be physically further but clearer for RF, but it's a good way to start if starting from scratch. |

Yep you were dead on right. These sengled bulbs (I got my E12s today) come up as end points. So I'm not sure if I should send them back and see if I can find E12s built by LEDVANCE or something. Is there a specific brand you'd suggest? My Sylvanya bulbs are LEDVANCE and show up as routers per the screenshot. I think they can only handle 6 connections at a time regardless of that's an end point or router. I also picked up a few more aquara door/window sensors. So far it's been kind of hit or miss with those but I think a lot of it is the mesh not getting a good RF RSSI from them |

I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with adding a different antenna to their coordinator. I've seen a few directional ones that will send a Zigbee signal pretty far away with line of sight. but im more interested in putting something in the rafters of my home that will better permeate all the areas. I don't have a l;arge home. 3 bedroom 1.5 bath on 2 acers of land. Inside I have 2 Aruba IAP Access Points in a cluster with an additional outdoor unit and a wifi 6 AP. everything is VLAN'd out and controlled by Managed Switches and a Firewalla Gold router IPS\IDS.
Prior to using Tube's ERF32 PoE I was just using a Nortek HUBZ1 on an extinction cable. but now that I have access to an SNA port im wondering if there wouldn't be a better antenna that the little plastic one. Anyone have ideas or messed with any of this? ANy links to amazon products would be great.
One last thing, i have it put way upnor id look myself, Is that an SNA with the central pin or without? Makes a difference when combining it to the proper antenna.
