Remove billboard effect from html overlay?

Exactly as the title says. by default when the html overlay is rendered it has a billboard effect so it always faces towards the user... is there a way to remove this?

The polygons below are rendered with geojsonlayer from deck.gl with the text being a html overlay... I want the html overlay to mimic the pitch and bearing from the deck.gl instance
