Add the ability to import CSV files from analytics like plausible. It would be great to support Google Analytics too.
The import should not clear data that's newer than the import.

Depends on how big the data is. Not sure if a long running process to import GBs of data would be a good idea. But it is something worth exploring.

Would definitely like to see this, importing data from Matomo would be my use-case.

I would most definitely appreciate this! I believe it is a critical feature.

Currently switching from Plausible to Umami, and I am so sad I have no way of migrating without losing data!

Took me some fiddling with that ga-exporter tool but, seems to work fine!
Have imported 5 years of GA into umami

Damn got excited there for a moment, but it keeps crashing for me (503 service unavailable) - did you get that?

Also it seems to want a clean db to import into and I don't want to clobber my existing stats collected by Umami!

For me it is been quite sometime ago. Possible it’s not working anymore with the newer versions. Haven’t needed it anymore.

I did import on a existing database however, the sites imported did not yet exist in Umami.

I'm considering switching to Unami but I need to import the GA data. Looking forward to see if that can be supported out-of-the-box.

I read from the Umami website that "Data import" is supported. What kind of data is supported? GA3, GA4, Plausible, Matomo, etc.?

I can't find any documentation on this. Could you add this information to the docs?

I was attempting to import data from Plausible but no luck so far.
Seems that I may need to resort to a custom script (eventually).

(It's a bit tricky since plausible generates multiple CSV files,
However, the process might be a little easier to handle with their "stats API"

But anyway, hope to see a native solution :)
