Issue With Show Badges (Unread Message Counter ) On Taskbar Apps

Hi,
Before I installed the explorer patcher software I was able to see if I had any new messages in the mail app (outlook) on my taskbar icon. Now since I installed the software that function doesn't function properly, also now when I go into taskbar behaviors that selection as well as the show my taskbar on all displays is grayed out & not active. Is there anyway to get my notifications to function properly again ? I'm enclosing a screenshot of the area I'm talking about:
