According to the SEO advice, this issue shouldn't be solved with redirects set up in CloudFlare. The more redirects the site has, the worse its SEO ratings.
Issue:
there are a lot of search results and inbound links still throwing 404 errors. It affects user experience, SEO ratings, etc.
Reasons:
Several slags were changed during the site redesign (e.g. https://valor-software.com/blog -> https://valor-software.com/articles). The full list of the links which stopped working and started to return 404 is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DpFrKD1mBOTAEewbggr4ylXqzF_OP6EanBtoAgHlE5g/edit?usp=sharing
What should be done:
Users should be directed to the page with the new path when accessing the old address via the inbound link. E.g. if a user clicks on https://valor-software.com/blog/Figma_Vs_Sketch_Text_alignment_comparison he should get https://valor-software.com/articles/figma-vs-sketch-text-alignment-comparison and not the page with 404 error.
