I am reporting an issue that is completely breaking functionality of scatter in my workflow. When applied I see black or white squares that jump around the screen on playback, they appear in my decklink and in my exports as well. See attached screenshot.

I am running resolve 18.6.2 Build 2 on M1 Max Macbook pro running 13.6.1, scatter version 2.2.0

Hi, that's no good!

  1. Did this just happen, or only after updating, or only if Decklink is plugged in, etc?
  2. Are you running any other plugins?
  3. What timeline resolution?
  4. Does it happen at any resolution, or just that one?
  5. RAW source material or ProRes/etc?

Can you please (privately) send us diagnostic logs (to [email protected]) from the Video Village Plugins app -> Help -> Export Diagnostic Logs?

Hi Greg,

This started happening just on this grade I am working on, I then tried updating to see if it solved the issue and it did now. Happens with or without the decklink plugged in. I thought it might have to do with how it is interacting with my powergrade (I do have other plugins in the powergrade but only DaVinci Native ones) or some out of gamut colors, but even if I remove the shot from my powergrade group and only apply scatter it creates the issue. See attached screenshots. The white square on flat footage you are seeing is if it is set to LogC, then the pink/purple is if I change it to BMDFilm 4.6K (which is what the footage is).

Timeline resolution is 1080p, it does happen at other resolutions but the issue seems to change when I change resolutions, for example the shot what was showing up pink changes to white when I change to UHD. Source material in this case is BRAW from an URSA. But also happens on ProRes LOG C stuff.

I sent an email to support as well with logs.

Thanks!
