vESPrino does not seem to work on Mac

I recieved my vESPrino, but it doesn’t seem to work. When I plug in the USB A into my Mac, the Mac crashes and when I connect it to the Mac via the Micro USB port it doesn’t get recognised by the Chrome Web App or any other serial port app

Which version of macOS do you have?
Did you install some drivers about the CH340G chipset?
