Feature Request: More Info Re. Plugins

It would be helpful for debugging setup if more info was available when plugin instantiation fails (the unselectable grey-box for plugins window). There aren't many cases to distinguish but there could be different indications of 'missing plugins dir', 'no plugins in dir', etc.

Maybe the plugins directory should be a browseable selection in settings like screenshot/log. Then it would also be obvious as to what path is being checked.
