I had instant relief as soon as I set up BetterDisplay on my M1 and was also curious as to what was causing the eye strain previously. Let me know if you find out any more details. Thanks! |

Firstly, I want to say thank you for product, that really helped me with huge eye strain on my Macbook Pro 14 M1. I did a trick with dummy mirroring for my laptop display as well as for my external screen.
I am just curious, was it possible for me to achieve relief for my eyes just because macos detects dummy display as 8-bit only and when I mirror it to my display it forces my main display behave same as dummy and show pure 8-bit colors?
Is there any way to achieve it without forcing dummy in near future updates or macos has some restrictions for apple silicons?
There are many people who has same problems with new apple display on ledstrain.org and your Betterdisplay is the only product that works to prevent temporal dithering or any other staff in new macos that hurt many people eyes (may be some kind of scaling or smth else).
Please just don't forget about this problem in your future updates, because your are the last hope for us :)
