Update: So I did a little test, as the only way I was putting my computer to sleep before was just going Apple > Sleep. However, upon waking back from sleep, the app did not auto connect for screen mirroring. I don't know if this is a settings thing or not as I can find any options for this. |

Hello!
I finally after many years decided to get an external 2nd display to help me out with my design work, but I was on a budget and decided to just g grab a small 24" 1080p LG monitor to go with my Samsung 32" 4k. Now what I didn't realize was that, when plugging in my new 2nd monitor, at 1080,, everything was huge compared to my Samsung that I run at 3840 X 2160.
So I began looking for solutions to scale my 1080p monitor to match my 4k monito, something to around 1440p and Better Display did things perfectly. However when I was doing the screen mirroring, every time I would wake from sleep, I would get this odd screen flickering issue that would only resolve itself after restarting everything. So That was annoying, so then I tried the Streaming method, which seemed to stop the screen flickering issue, however it started a new problem.
I now cannot put my Mac to sleep, it just simply won't go to sleep, all it will do is put me on the login page but leave both monitors on, which is very frustrating and I don't know why. I've searched for answers on this but there are few questions dealing with this and I tried replicating some solutions to no avail.
The biggest bummer was the Screen Mirroring worked perfectly.....streaming, outside of not being able to sleep, introduces some weird things when moving windows...while mirroring makes everything smooth and feel native. That is something I can live with though, the not being able to put the Mac sleep is just an issue that I need fixed...
is there any solution to this when using the latest BetterDisplay version and running Ventura 13.5?
(side note, while on the login screen, on the menu bar I get a message saying "your screen is being monitored" which is concerning even though I know it's just the BetterDisplay app causing this)
Thank you so much!
