Just a weird thing that happened to me today.
I was checking BetterDisplay version, since the 160% brightness feature was no longer working and I found out about v2.x.x.
I just installed lastest v2.X.X manually and it's way better, it's a shame I've been losing nice updates since august 2023 (last 1.4.X minor update).

Any reason why you decided to not push it via the automatic updater? I would have opted-in way sooner if I knew it existed :)

v2.x does not work on some older systems (pre-Monterey) and due to some deeper changes (including change in the bundle identifier) automatic update is not possible. Also, app property saves are not compatible either. Of course all these could be handled with some effort but the process would be rough so it's generally felt better just to leave v1.4.x as it is. :)

thank you for the explanation! I had problems with some resolutions not being available on 1.4, this seems not to be the case anymore with latest 2.x, so I am quite happy with that :)
