I just wanted to post to confirm that not only does this work on macOS 12.2 on my 14" M1 Max MBP with my Dell U4021QW, but it restores the HiDPI resolutions that Apple appears to have removed in macOS 12.2! Which makes me a very happy person.
The Dell 4021QW is a 7680x3240-native monitor that was working fine on this laptop under macOS 12.1; I was able to use the native macOS Displays settings to set the resolution to 3840x1620, the ideal HiDPI setting for it. After last night's update to macOS 12.2, though, that resolution was removed; the nearest resolution available was 3360x1418, losing 25% of the screen real estate that was available under the ideal resolution. Sigh. But BetterDummy was able to get me back in action — it works flawlessly (so far!), and restores the resolution support that Apple inexplicably removed.
(And bonus, it also caused me to discover MonitorControl, which has already inordinately improved my life by giving me the ability to control the volume of the U4021QW from my keyboard!)
