DDC integration adjusts volume and other settings but doesn't apply it

Hi there, on version 2.3.9, MBA M1, connected via DisplayPort / USBC to a Dell U3415W. If I use the volume +/- mute the MacOS volume slider updates and the value seems to update in the Monitor, however it doesn't actually change until I open the Volume Slider. So for example if I reduce the volume to 10% from 100%, playback will be at 100% until I open the OSD on the monitor and I'll see 10% and then it will apply. I've tried sync'ing display groups etc but alas it does not seem to make a difference.

This is a display firmware issue I am afraid - apparently the display receives the DDC command but does not act on it until there is an OSD effect. You can try enabling SCS but most probably% it won't help.
