Have External Display Disconnected on Login

Hi There,

First off, thank you for making Better Display. It has become an essemntial part of my workflow for making YouTube videos with a Teleprompter on an external HDMI monitor and allows me to flip the monitor horizontallty while streaming from another display without any Decimator hardware. I love this software.

Is it possible to have a connected display turned off by default when I log in to my Mac?

In my studio I have a TV on the wall as an HDMI display and I don't use it a lot. I would like it turned off by default because whenever I login to my Mac it thinks the TV is in use and I have to manually turn it off in the Better Display menu.

Hi there - I think the easiest solution would be to install betterdisplaycli and use it to create a simple script to turn off the TV.

betterdisplycli set namelike=tv_name -connected=off

You can then make this script run on startup (you should add some delay to it so it waits until BetterDisplay is properly started with auto login).
